About the Event

Date: August 10th, 7:00-8:30 pm EST Location: ONLINE (Zoom link provided after registration and about 24 hrs. before the session)** For questions contact Angela Moon at angelamoon5000@gmail.com Large-scale social and legal changes have produced a great deal of ripple effects in people’s lives. How do we process and respond to harms that we consider to come from larger forces - legislative, court decisions, international or domestic forces, and others? How do we take steps in our personal lives? Do we see ourselves moving further than the realm of the personal? In this first overview session, we will go over the various ways social changes happen and impact our lives. We aim to have a Restorative Justice Circle after a brief presentation of this overview. Objective: Provide space for people to reflect on how they process and/or take action when large scale social forces change their lives. This topic looks at the intersection of RJ on a personal level and RJ as it relates to societal transformation. The first session will be a general intro to the series topic. Following sessions will focus on specific topics and the application of RJ. All sessions will aim to include a circle to reflect on the topics.
